Om Shivayana Namah sous la direction de Revathi Ramachandran Bharata natyam (danse de l’Inde du sud) cinq danseurs et leurs musiciens au musée Guimet, samedi 7 avril 2007, en coproduction avec Triveni.

Revathi Ramachandran, fondatrice de l’institution de Bharata natyam Kala-Sadhanalaya, basée à Chennai, a proposé, pour la première fois en Europe, ce spectacle merveilleux de grâce et de sensualité. Om Shivayana Namah symbolise les cinq actions (Pancha Krytia), à savoir : création, soutien, destruction, obscurcissement et libération, et développe ces aspect de Shiva Nataraja, au moyen de chants et de poèmes extraits de la littérature shivaïte tamoule ancienne et d’œuvres plus récentes voire contemporaines la tradition étant toujours vivante. Shiva englobe l’espace-l’air de ses bras supérieurs étendus. Sa danse exprime le son, le mouvement perpétuel, la création et la dissolution toujours renouvelées tant chez l’homme que dans l’univers. L’image de Shinva Nataraja, une création de génie, figure sous une forme concise et suprêmement harmonieuse, les pouvoirs et la puissance du Dieu et sa totale maîtrise des forces de la Nature. Une plongée aux sources des danses dévotionnelles de l’hindouisme (musée Guimet)

………indeed, the beauty we see is not actually the beauty everybody experiences on a daily basis, so we are all individuals, at least this is what I believe, I do not think one dimensional or else, I believe in beauty beyond the usual, I believe in looking around the corner, so our viewpoint maybe goes into diverse directions from others, but the outcome is the same, when we are on the same page…….we all look for beauty and love in photography……..and art is one viewpoint, as are many others, we all can discover as it is accessible beauty, but how we look, feel, see at it, this is called individuality……need I say more?

Dressed in their exotic traditional costume, the PCPC artists and dancers will perform popular folk dances of Punjab, namely Bhangra and Gidha. In various styles and symmetries, they will perform to the beat and sound of traditional drum and other folk instruments. This spectacular performance will invigorate the whole audience."
